Outstanding in every respect

I own nearly all of the available complete and near-complete sets of Bach’s organ works, having studied them myself years ago. Vernet’s playing is on the swift side, lively and with a good deal of originality without quirkiness. The instruments are very well recorded and suit the music well. Price is half of that of Karol Golebiowski’s set, which is also quite good, though not preferable to Vernet in my opinion.
