Ekaterina Sementchuk – rising star

Ekaterina Sementchuk has a voice of astounding purity, beauty and strength. I first heard her when she sang the Russian Creed so powerfully at the wedding of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles and absolutely blew me away. I’ve since been looking out for a recording of hers to buy and this one, with piano accompaniment, shows her capacity for lightness as well as magnificence. Wonderful for a summer’s day, wafting through the windows… I’d still love to have that Russian Creed though…
