Rémy Ballot and the symphonies of Anton Bruckner, performed at Bruckner’s place of work, the basilica of St. Florian in Upper Austria, are an extraordinary collection of artistic abundance which becomes manifest for the fourth time in this CD release. In 2016 the annual Brucknertage festival centered around the ‘Sixth’, and once again the musical youth of the Upper Austrian Symphonic Youth Orchestra enjoyed the great honour of giving a celebrated performance in this oneof-a-kind setting. Their youthful vigour and professionalism combined with the intuition of Rémy Ballot creates a unique and exciting interpretation, and appends another worthy opus to this series which has been critically acclaimed and honoured with numerous prestigious international awards.
