This collection contains the bulk Palestrina recordings that the Tallis Scholars had recorded to date. The collection honors the 400th anniversary of Palestrina’s death in 1594 as well as the 400th release in the Gimell catalog. These 4 discs represent my all time favorite vocal recordings. There are recordings that are more technical adept but none capture what is on these discs. These works are timeless.
