Small size, four gut strings, a short bow were, at beginning, the ingredients of the magic. Such a magic happened in Italy, the cradle of the violin, during the seventeenth century. Seicento! is therefore a multifaceted time-travel through the Early Baroque, from Venice to Sicily, exploring the wonders of the first violin virtuosos and their dexterous-passionate playing. A collection of music born looking at Caravaggio, Bernini and Borrominis masterworks. Their last recording for Passacaille ‘Into Nature – Vivaldi’s Seasons’ (PAS1062) conducted and played by Maestro Enrico Onofri and the Imaginarium Ensemble, was CD of the month on Amadeus Magazine and won the prestigious Diapason d’Or of the French magazine: “The splendid result, often brilliant, is devoid of blatant effects that overshadow the rest. It rather recalls the harmony of some rural landscapes used by Giorgione as backdrop of his paintings, where the thousand voices of the Nature coexist enigmatically in a suspended and dreamlike dimension, out of a specific time.” -Massimo Rolando Zegna, Amadeus Magazine
