Thank you.
Thanks
On this work, period instruments are neither wrong nor bad, but when I grew up hearing the Philadelphia Orchestra with Eugene Ormandy and later add the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, BIG became the order of the day.
However, I didn’t mention Sir Thomas Beecham and his expanded orchestra version.
But for example, I’d much rather hear John Vickers than puny Mark Padmore sing ‘comfort ye’ as if he were just now dying.
Oh well, I digress. I do appreciate this rendition, and I’m very thankful for it.
Thanks, Whatever.
Bob
Thanks.
