Boulez’s genius as a conductor is evident all through this album.
Boulez and French repertoire go hand in hand. Boulez’s genius as a conductor is evident all through this album, which ranges from orchestral works, vocal works, and Ravels’ incredible chamber works. Jessye Norman’s performance of the excruciatingly beautiful, “Chansons madécasses,” is the deepest and most moving I’ve ever heard. The complete collection is highly recommended.
Thank you very much!!
