Definitely Enjoyable
I recommend this CD for anyone who enjoys lyrical chamber music in the romantic tradition. The first trio is very melodic and I cannot imagine anyone not liking it. The second trio is less melodic but more meticulously crafted. I prefer the former but both are well crafted and enjoyable.
I have not heard performances by other ensembles of these works but the playing here by the Beaux Art Trio is technically flawless, full of melancholy and romantic sentiments. What more could you ask for in these works?
The sound is very good digitally remastered analogue, warm and not too close, just right.
Many thanks and regards from The Netherlands.

Thanks a lot!
Thanks for valuable comments
Ah, another one of rare bird. Beaux Arts may not appear actually russe (a thought likely triggered by their welcome audacity to dare taking on som many of these easteners), however, in the case of Tchaikovsky, Arensky & c. the music itself heads to a halfway meeting: lossless genuineness.
