Valentine Michaud is a French saxophonist, and Gabriel Michaud is a Swiss musician. Together, they form the ensemble “Oiseaux de Paradis”, a saxophone and electronics duo. Their music combines acoustic performance, particularly featuring the saxophone, with electronic sounds and experimental music. The duo has developed a distinctive, avant-garde style, blending different genres and techniques to create atmospheric and immersive soundscapes.

The name “Oiseaux de Paradis” (Birds of Paradise) suggests a sense of exoticism and creativity, reflecting their experimental approach to music. Through their compositions and performances, they explore the possibilities of contemporary classical music, often incorporating multimedia elements and pushing the boundaries of traditional saxophone music.
