Stardust, the album and the idea, combine the personal with the collective. Everything is melody. Every piece has its own melody, every melody tells its own story. The Berlin composer and pianist Meredi stands for a feeling of freedom that is as young as it is drawn from a cosmopolitan oneness with different cultures
Stardust represents Meredi’s deep desire, more than that: the necessity to compose. Composing music is her instinctive expression and at the same time the best way to make a connection between the past and her generation. Meredi’s pieces and the melodies in her head are as much her compositions as they come from her time and tell about it.
