Who said the harp was a wise and good-mannered girl instrument? Its timbre even more orchestral than that of the piano allows him on the contrary to venture into all the repertoires, in particular that of the romantic ones who does not stop pushing the expressive borders.

To serve the music, just the music, the great Marielle Nordmann defeats the clichés that associate the harp with caretaking parlor. Along with two of her brightest students, the talented Alexandra Luiceanu and Clara Izambert, she has written a record that brings together original works as well as transcriptions of Schubert’s lieder, romances by Mendelssohn and Rachmaninoff – many of them are indebted to Liszt and also, unpublished ones, to the interpreters themselves.
