Incredible Recording – carefully engineered
This is an excellent recording and it’s hard to believe it was recorded almost 60 years ago. Still it sounds like it was recorded yesterday. Listened to the SACD on an Pioneer Elite, via a Sony blu-ray player and B&W CM8’s. I don’t have the ability to play back 3-channel audio, but in two-channel it was wonderful, indeed. Simply breath-taking. The liner notes take you back to the day it was recorded. You must read up on the label and Wilma Cozart Fine for her fine work preserving these recordings for generations to come.
